By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a high-level understanding of the Abaqus scripting capabilities.
  • Organize and present the technical details of Python and the Abaqus Scripting Interface.
  • Expose the strengths and weaknesses of Abaqus scripting.

Notes:

  • The appropriate licenses will be provided for all classes.
  • A Virtual Machine (VM) for all classes. If you wish to use your own hardware, refer to the DS Certified Workstations and ensure the relevant products and licenses are properly installed prior to the class start.

All Abaqus Users
Prerequisites

Basic familiarity with the Abaqus products including Abaqus/Viewer and Abaqus/Standard or Abaqus/Explicit.
Familiarity with Abaqus/CAE is very helpful.
Students should also have some experience using at least one computer programming language, text editing, and should be proficient with basic operating system tasks.
