Substructures and Submodeling with Abaqus (2 day)

This 2-day course covers substructuring and submodeling, two techniques for studying problems too large for a conventional modeling approach. Students learn the difference between them, how to build, translate, rotate and reflect substructures, include preloads, design meshes for submodel analysis, and perform solid-to-solid, shell-to-shell and shell-to-solid submodeling. Prerequisite: Introduction to Abaqus or equivalent and Abaqus experience.
